"Camomile" by Sarah Sloboda at Phone Gallery

June 14, 12:00 pm – July 31, 12:00 pm

Camomile was born of an exploration of light as an energy source, the way plants respond to it, and the importance of water to life on earth. It was created using a single exposure on a digital camera, and is printed on inkjet acrylic.

Sarah Sloboda is an artist based in Cleveland, Ohio. She is best known as a photographer for children, with work appearing in many print and online publications throughout her career. Inspired by gardening, her recent work makes a visual commentary on elemental power and its influence upon life.

Phone Gallery is Cleveland's smallest gallery, is the transformation of an abandoned pay phone booth into an inventive place for art display, open 24/7. Find it outside Russ' Auto Care in the Waterloo Arts District. It is curated by Ali Lukacsy-Love.
